Hair of the Dog

Toni had previously been a vet tech, and then began working as a bather, but it just wasn’t enough! She began watching the other groomers closely, taking in all she could, helping them with prep work & learning tips and tricks of the trade. After a few years Toni taught herself to groom and now  has over 10 years of experience! 

Hair of the Dog is a full service pet grooming salon. We offer bathing, grooming, nail trims and painting, paw & nose rejuvenation, temporary and permanent dyeing, and a few other odds and ends. We consider ourselves to be a "tiny salon". This offers a more one-on-one experience for our clients, provides a calm and relaxed environment and allows us to get your pet back to you more quickly, 

Kayla started her grooming career shortly after moving to Florida. She saw the job posting by chance, and thought it would be pretty cool to get to work with dogs everyday. Little did she know she would find her true passion! After completing her apprenticeship in Florida, Kayla returned to WV where she worked in  Charleston and really began honing her skills.
